Big League Utah
The option value. A pursuit that turns present-day memories into a franchise-scale asset.

Current State
Big League Utah is MSE's organized pursuit of Major League Baseball for Salt Lake City, positioned around a proposed ballpark district on Salt Lake's west side. Not yet a team, but already a platform: a civic coalition, a site thesis, and a public case being built brick by brick.

The Opportunity
There is no franchise yet — but there is a decision window and a coalition. The play is to convert every milestone into a memory now, so that by the time MLB is choosing, Utah shows up with a registry, category coverage, and public sentiment no expansion candidate can match.
How to Leverage It
- Step 01. Stand up the registry
Public founding-supporter registry with intent capture, milestone updates, and a clear path from name → deposit when the moment comes.
- Step 02. Sequence the milestones
Treat coalition beats, site updates, delegation visits, and listening sessions as a published cadence — every one a designed memory.
- Step 03. Open anchor conversations
Category-by-category conversations pricing future exclusivity today. LOIs become the public evidence of demand.
- Step 04. Wire cross-property carry
Every MSE property carries the pursuit's story — the base grows with it, not around it.
- Step 05. Publish the sentiment trend
Quarterly Utah-wide sentiment read; the pursuit gets managed as a brand with a KPI, not a press campaign.
Who They Serve
Utah at large — the households, employers, and civic institutions that would carry an MLB club — plus the existing MSE base whose loyalty compounds as the pursuit progresses.
Signature Moment Design
Every milestone along the pursuit becomes a memory: coalition unveilings, site announcements, delegation visits, community listening sessions. The Bees ballpark opening in Daybreak is the proof of execution the pursuit points at.
Platform Plays
- Founding-supporter registry: capture intent early; convert to deposits when the moment comes.
- Anchor-partner conversations that price future category exclusivity today — the prescience sale, at franchise scale.
- Public-affairs storytelling that treats every civic step as narrative inventory.
- Cross-property integration: MSE properties carry the pursuit's story so the base grows with it, not around it.
